Meade's revolutionary LS LightSwitch series of telescopes use advanced technologies to do what no other consumer telescopes have done before: take all the hassle out of using a telescope. Simply flip the switch and the LS automatically aligns itself. Astronomer Inside software then takes you on a guided multimedia tour of the best objects in your sky.

Meade LS 6" ACF LightSwitch telescope. This award-winning 6" f/10 (1524mm focal length) powerhouse telescope is feature packed and portable. Meade's Patented automatic self alignment system aligns with just one touch of the power switch. Just flip the switch and walk away. It aligns itself. It’s that simple.

Meade's best Advanced-Coma Free optics deliver performance only seen previously in systems costing thousands of dollars more. With its standard Ultra High Transmission Coatings (UHTC) the LS gives you the sharpest, brightest optical system for its size available at any price.

The included AutoStar III GOTO keypad computer has an over 100,000 object library and guided tour functions. Includes Meade ECLIPS color CCD camera (640x480 resolution) which lets you capture images of your favorite celestial wonders and display them in real time on an external (user supplied) monitor or store them on a (user supplied) SD card so you can do CCD imaging your very first night out.

The incredible Astronomer Inside™ knows the sky so you don't have to. It takes you on a guided tour, showing you the best objects in your sky from your location and time and then plays audio descriptions of those objects so you learn the details of what you are seeing.

Meade Astronomer Inside™ includes over four hours of audio descriptions of astronomical objects including planets, stars, constellations, clusters, nebula, galaxies and more that bring astronomy to life. It's like having a professional astronomer standing next to you at the telescope!

This Meade AutoStar III Hand Controller is a replacement controller designed for the Meade LS LightSwitch telescope series that allows the observer to easily control their telescope for automatic location of night sky objects. The Meade AutoStar III includes Astronomer Inside™ software and a 100,000 object database.

The CCD Chip

The most obvious improvement in the new DSI III is of course the larger CCD. For this

camera, Meade selected the largest ExView HAD chip that Sony makes, the ICX285AL

for the monochrome DSI Pro III and the ICX285AK for the color DSI III. These chips are

2/3rds of an inch in size and boast a large 1360 x 1024 pixel array producing images of

approximately 1.4M Pixels

The Meade #902 Electronic Eyepiece transmits live, black-and-white images of the moon, planets, and terrestrial subjects from your telescope to a TV monitor, VCR, or camcorder. Made to fit 0.965" or 1.25" focuser sleeves, the eyepiece includes a 6-foot cable and requires a 9-volt battery that installs neatly inside the eyepiece housing. Contrast adjustment is built in.

Meade Deep Sky Color Imager III.

Meade Zero Image Shift-Electronic Micro-Focuser #07080 for the Meade LX200-ACF and Meade LS models. This high precision, ultra smooth focuser allows you to obtain an extremely accurate image focus. Perfect for astrophotography or during high power planetary observation. Focus is controlled through the existing Autostar II or Autostar III handbox of the telescope. This very high quality accessory securely mounts to a thread-on type adapter (included) to the rear of your telescope. The diagonal or camera (not included) then inserts into the microfocuser which has approximately 1/2 inch of travel. Coarse focus is achieved conventionally through the telescopes focus knob. The Microfocuser is then used to achieve a more precisely focused image via the keypad, without image shift or shake

The Konus Digital Camera Universal Photo Adapter, Model 1300, fits spotting scopes and telescopes. Now you can use your digital camera or expensive spotting scope to get images you might not have previously been able to obtain. This adapter attaches between the eyepiece of your scope and the camera. It comes with a platform on which to mount your camera, a locking screw to hold it in place, and a long grip by which the angle can be manipulated.

Meade Series 4000 Eyepiece and Filter Set #07169. Complete set of the most popular accessories for your Meade telescope. This comprehensive kit makes accessorizing a snap.

Includes six popular Meade Series 4000 Super Plossl Eyepieces in focal lengths of 6.4mm, 9.7mm, 12.4mm, 15mm, 32mm and 40mm. All eyepieces feature a standard 1.25" barrel size, with a 52° apparent field of view and are of a 4-element design with premium optical glass. All additionally feature edge blackened lenses and fully multi-coated optics for great contrast and light transmission. Each also features has a soft rubber eye guard for comfort.
